The Lindy Cat.6 USB Extender can be used to extend the distance between a USB device and a host computer by up to 50m. It consists of a local unit, which can be connected to the computer or laptop and a remote unit which connects to USB devices like storage devices, perfect for long-distance access to files.
Standard, low-cost Cat.5e/6 cable (not included) is used to connect the two units together. For best performance and compatibility, we recommend the use of solid core patched cables. A power supply can be connected optionally for use with high current USB devices. |

Works with RS-232 Serial Devices
Connects to switches, routers, barcode scanners, GPS units, point-of-sale devices, lab equipment, network storage devices, modems, graphics tablets and other devices with a DB9 serial port. Supports data transfer speeds up to 230 Kbps—twice as fast as a built-in serial port. Easy to Set Up and Use Right Out of the Box No external power supply is needed and only one connection is required. Simply connect the included three-foot (0.9-meter) USB cable between the unit's USB-B port and your computer's USB-A port. The unit is compatible with any USB cable up to 16 feet (4.9 meters). A green LED indicates data activity at a glance. The unit weighs only 2 ounces for convenient transport in a backpack or laptop bag. Compatible with Major Operating Systems Works with Microsoft Windows (up to Windows 11) and macOS X (up to Ventura 13.3.1), and includes Windows line monitor and data trace software. The unit supports both 32-bit and 64-bit systems and has continuously updated drivers available for download on the unit's Technical Support page.
