- 1. CS1798 cascade to CS1798 only.
- 2. The USB 2.0 hub cannot be accessed through the switch by computers on the second or third level of a cascaded installation.
- 3. CS1798 supports the resolution up to 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz. The resolution of the connected source should be 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz or lower in order to avoid compatibility issues.
- 4. For PC compatible computers. Mac and Sun computers must be compatible with USB connections.
- 5. PC keyboard combinations emulate Mac / Sun keyboards; Mac / Sun keyboards work only with their own computers.

The CS1798 8-port USB HDMI KVM Switch is a multi-purpose appliance that consolidates access and control of up to 8 HDMI computers from a single USB keyboard, USB mouse, and monitor console. The CS1798 can be cascaded up to three levels – to control up to 512 computers – all from a single console.
In addition, the CS1798 features multi-display functionality, which enables the use of standard USB cables to stack up to 8 switches in a multi-display installation where each computer is fitted with multiple video cards. It allows users to contrast, analyze and monitor video output in convenient ways, substantially simplifying the working environment. The CS1798 supporting ATEN’s on-screen display (OSD) function, allowing it to access any computer connected to the installation, which offers OSD configuration backup / restore functions to save or back up the OSD settings and restore them as needed. The CS1798 provides multimedia keyboard support and is audio enabled. Users can listen to the audio output of each computer on two sets of speakers (on a one at- a-time basis). |

A KVM switch allows an operator to conveniently control and manage multiple devices, such as PCs and servers, from a single keyboard, mouse and display console.
This advanced KVM Switch has been designed for use with PCs and Macs. It features DisplayPort video ports and a two port USB 2.0 hub for connecting and sharing peripherals. With audio support, you can also connect speakers or headsets. The switch occupies only a single 1U space in a 19andrdquo; rack and supports screen resolutions of up to 4K Ultra HD 60Hz, great for graphical content in gaming setups, video editing or controlling multiple workstations. It provides 2 simple switching modes, via keyboard hotkeys and front panel buttons. A local console can be connected to the 2 USB and DP ports on the rear panel while the built-in 2 port USB 2.0 hub saves money on requiring additional devices by sharing peripherals between the connected computers. The unique switching arrangement allows the USB hub to be switched independently of the PCs for uninterrupted printing, scanning or external drive access. Options can be accessed only via keyboard hotkeys. LED indicators show the status of the selected channel. Please Note: connection cables are not included. DisplayPort, USB A to B, and 3.5mm audio cables are required for each connected computer. The maximum supported distance for USB, using standard cables, is 5m.
